# Document Summarization

> Summarize a long document using a Granite model.

This recipe shows how to summarize a long document using Granite. The document used in the recipe is H.D. Thoreau's "Walden" from Project Gutenberg.

You will need a Replicate API token to run this recipe in Colab. Instructions for obtaining this credential can be found [here](/granite/docs/use-cases/getting-credentials).
